Candidates

View and manage all candidates with AI resume analysis, interview questions, and stage tracking

Overview

The Candidates page gives you a centralised view of all applicants across all jobs. Access it from the left sidebar. You can search, filter, and click into any candidate to see their full profile with AI-powered analysis.

Candidate List

The left panel shows a searchable list of all candidates. Each entry displays the candidate's name, role applied for, email, phone number, status tag (e.g. Active, Shortlisted, Disqualified, Offer Accepted), current interview stage, and a CV match percentage. Use the filters at the top to narrow by specific jobs (All Jobs) or pipeline stages (All Stages). Summary stats in the top-right show Total, Active, In Interviews, and Jobs counts.

Candidate Detail - Overview Tab

Click on any candidate to open their detail panel. The Overview tab shows:

  1. AI Resume Match Analysis - an AI-generated match score (0–100%) comparing the candidate's resume to the job requirements, with a strength indicator (e.g. 'STRONG MATCH'). You can click 'Re-analyse' to refresh the analysis.
  2. Skills Matched - specific skills from the candidate's resume that align with the job requirements
  3. Skills Gap - skills required by the job that are missing from the candidate's profile
  4. Experience Alignment - how well the candidate's work history matches the role
  5. Stage Progress - a visual pipeline showing the candidate's current stage and the stages they've completed, with automatic progression based on system events
  6. Candidate Details - email, phone, applied date, location, expected salary, and earliest available date
  7. Resume - the candidate's full resume displayed inline for quick review

AI-Generated Interview Questions

Alexia.ai automatically generates tailored interview questions for each candidate based on their resume and the job requirements. These serve as a guide for interviewers - giving you a structured starting point so every interview covers the right areas. Questions are organised into categories:

  1. Technical / Role-Specific - questions about the candidate's core skills and experience relevant to the role
  2. Experience Verification - questions to validate specific claims and achievements on their resume
  3. Behavioural - STAR Format - situational questions using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to assess real-world behaviour
  4. Cultural Fit - questions about work style, team dynamics, and alignment with your organisation's values
  5. Gap Exploration - questions addressing gaps, concerns, or areas that need clarification in their profile

Interview Questions Detail

Each question includes the question text, a suggested follow-up prompt, and red flags to watch for in the candidate's answer. Click 'Regenerate' to create a fresh set of questions.

Interviews & Communications Tabs

The Interviews tab shows all scheduled and completed interviews for the candidate, and lets you schedule new interviews directly - the candidate receives an email with the meeting link. The Communications tab displays the full communication history including emails and messages, and also lets you send emails directly to the candidate without leaving the page.

The AI Match Analysis is a powerful starting point but always review it alongside the full resume. Use the AI-generated interview questions to run structured, consistent interviews across all candidates.

Candidate Actions

From the candidate detail panel, you can navigate between candidates using the Prev/Next buttons, advance them to the next stage, or disqualify them using the action buttons in the top-right corner.
