Assign work to team members or AI agents
Overview
Tasks in Alexia.ai can be assigned to human team members or AI assistants. This creates a unified task management system where both people and AI agents contribute to your business objectives.
Creating Tasks
Create tasks through multiple methods:
- Ask Alexia.ai: 'Create a task to review Q2 budget'
- Use Quick Actions in the sidebar
- Tasks are auto-created when AI assistants identify action items
- Convert email action items into tasks directly - Alexia.ai reads your sent and received emails, extracts action items, and creates tasks assigned to the right people based on the email content
Assigning to People
Assign tasks to team members by name or role. Assignees receive notifications and can update task status. You can view all tasks by assignee to balance workload across your team.
Assigning to AI assistants
Some tasks can be handled entirely by AI assistants. For example, assign 'Generate weekly marketing report' to your Marketing Manager, and it will be completed automatically. AI-completed tasks show up in your dashboard with the output attached.
Task Properties
Each task can include: title, description, priority level (High/Medium/Low), deadline, assignee, related goal, and attachments. Alexia.ai uses these properties to prioritise and track tasks in your dashboard.
Link tasks to goals whenever possible. This helps Alexia.ai show goal progress more accurately and prioritise tasks that move the needle.
