Overview
One of Alexia.ai's most powerful productivity features is the ability to create tasks directly from emails you send or receive. Instead of mentally tracking follow-ups or copying action items into a separate tool, Alexia.ai reads the email content and generates structured tasks - assigned to the right people, with the right context.
How It Works
When viewing any email in your Email Intelligence feed, you'll see a 'Create Task' option. Alexia.ai analyses the email content - identifying action items, deadlines, and responsible parties - and pre-fills a task with all the relevant details. You can review and adjust before confirming.
- Open any email summary in the Email Intelligence panel
- Click 'Create Task' on the email
- Alexia.ai analyses the content and suggests a task title, description, and assignee
- Review the suggested task details and adjust if needed
- Confirm to add the task to your task board
Tasks from Received Emails
When someone sends you an email requesting something - a report, a document review, a follow-up meeting - Alexia.ai can extract that request and turn it into a task. For example, if a client emails asking for a proposal by Friday, Alexia.ai will create a task titled 'Send proposal to [client]' with a Friday deadline, assigned to you or your team.
Tasks from Sent Emails
Emails you send often contain commitments and promises. If you email a colleague saying 'I'll have the budget review ready by Thursday,' Alexia.ai can create a self-assigned task to remind you. This ensures nothing you've promised falls through the cracks.
Assigning Tasks to Team Members
Alexia.ai intelligently suggests task assignments based on the email content. If the email mentions a specific team member or department, the task is pre-assigned to them. You can also reassign to any team member or AI assistant before confirming.

Automatic Task Suggestions
You don't always need to manually create tasks from emails. Alexia.ai proactively scans incoming emails and suggests tasks when it detects action items. These suggestions appear in your dashboard with an 'Email Action' badge, ready for you to accept or dismiss.
