Connecting Gmail / Google Workspace

Authorise Alexia.ai to read and manage your email

Overview

Email Intelligence connects Alexia.ai to your Gmail or Google Workspace inbox, enabling AI-powered email triage, summaries, and draft responses. Setup takes less than a minute.

Connecting Your Email

To connect your Gmail account:

  1. Click your avatar in the upper-right corner and select 'Settings'
  2. Navigate to the 'Email Intelligence' or 'Integrations' tab
  3. Click 'Connect Gmail' or 'Connect Google Workspace'
  4. You'll be redirected to Google's OAuth consent screen
  5. Review the permissions and click 'Allow'
  6. You'll be redirected back to Alexia.ai with your email connected

Permissions Explained

Alexia.ai requests read-only access to your email by default. This allows it to read, categorise, and summarise emails without making changes. If you want Alexia.ai to draft replies (which you still review and send), you can enable write access in Settings.

Processing Time

After connecting, Alexia.ai will begin processing your recent emails. This initial scan usually takes 2-5 minutes depending on inbox size. After the initial scan, new emails are processed in real-time.

Alexia.ai never sends emails on your behalf without your explicit approval. All draft replies are presented for your review first.
