Data Retention Policies
How long data is stored and how to request deletion
Overview
Alexia.ai retains data only as long as needed to provide the service. You maintain full control over your data and can request deletion at any time.
Retention Periods
Default retention periods by data type:
- Chat history - retained for the duration of your subscription
- Email summaries - retained until you disconnect email or request deletion
- Reports - retained for 12 months, then archived
- Task and goal data - retained for the duration of your subscription
- Audit logs - retained for 24 months for compliance purposes
- Uploaded files - retained for 90 days after last access
Data Deletion
You can request data deletion at any time through two methods: use the bug report button at the bottom-left corner of your Alexia.ai dashboard and select 'Feature Request' or 'Bug Report' to submit a deletion request, or navigate to Settings > Support and Feedback to contact our team directly. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days. Once deleted, data cannot be recovered.
Account Closure
When you close your account, all associated data is deleted within 30 days. This includes chat history, reports, uploaded files, and integration data. We retain only anonymised usage statistics.
Export any reports or data you want to keep before closing your account. Once deletion is processed, data cannot be recovered.
